Tyrolean Alp Experience – Wandering through the hillsides, mountains, or Austrian Alps might give you the feeling of stepping right into the local postcards that are sold in many shops.

Stay in Innsbruck at a local pension filled with family and tradition. While just minutes from the two-time winter Olympic city of Innsbruck, here you can hike from area to area with months of trails to explore. Innsbruck is surrounded by green pastures that lead directly into the valleys and high alp snow-capped peaks. Here, nature is carefully linked with culture and tradition.

Day 1: Arrive in Munich – Transfer from Munich to Innsbruck. Check into the local 3-star pension and enjoy the first night in this truly local alpine village area known as Rum bei Innsbruck. Here the pastures are green and the river runs full!

Day 2: Innsbruck – Enjoy the day sightseeing in Innsbruck, take a 1/2 day city tour, or hike to the local mountain Zoo. Enjoy a Lantern lit hike to a local mountain inn with music and fun this evening. The group departs at 7:30 pm.

Day 3: Innsbruck – Take one of the many mountain hiking trails directly behind the pension doors or high up to the local cable car. The above map shows a wide variety of trails with different lengths for various endurance and skill levels. This evening is spent at one of the most spectacular Tiroler AlpenBuhne shows! The traditional music, dance, and costumes are a must-see.

Day 4: Innsbruck – Participate in an Alpine pasture hike, depart at 8.45 am or take another longer and more difficult individual hike. The higher you hike the more spectacular the view as you can see from our many photos. For longer day hikes, a guide from the local hiking club can be requested in advance for groups of 8 or more.

Day 5: Innsbruck – This morning you are up before sunrise for a wonderful Sunrise hike, departing at 5.00 am in town for a transfer and hike into the local mountains. From here you will be able to continue on an individual or group hike. Later in the day visit the local sights or spend time in the afternoon shopping.

Day 6: Innsbruck / Munich – Today’s arrangements are up to the group. You can hike in the morning and transfer later to Munich or leave early which allows you the time to see some sights, shop, or visit the many churches or museums in this wonderful Bavarian city of Munich. True sports enthusiasts might want to join one of our other tours for a longer adventure.

Day 7: Munich – Breakfast at a local hotel before transferring to the airport for your morning departure home!
