Head to the Library of Trinity College which serves both the Trinity College and the University of Dublin. It is the largest library in Ireland and as a legal deposit or “copyright library”, it has the right to receive material published in the Republic of Ireland.

Enjoy the Dublin Zoo and the Literary Pub Crawl Tour.  From Dublin, you can travel to the Boyne Valley, Trim Castle, Hill of Tara, Strokestown, Roscommon, and the National Museum of County Life and experience the lake region loop (Longford, Cavan, Drogheda.)

Then onto Waterford, the next day stopping in Midleton to take the Jameson Experience Tour. Overnight in Waterford and enjoy the sights the next day. Mid-afternoon continue onto Cork. While in Cork enjoy the Great National Commons Park for a day of hiking.

Plan plenty of time to stop at the Blarney Castle and gardens. The gardens are beautiful in the spring, summer and fall.

Then plan a few days to explore the Killarney National Park. There are plenty of biking, hiking, and walking sights to explore here. Continue to the Dingle peninsula to enjoy the harbor, cycle around the peninsula, and day hikes around the islands. Dingle is a great place to take a harbor cruise tour. Travel from Dingle to the city of Limerick. Enjoy the drive northwest to explore the Cliffs of Mohr. Travel onto Galway for the sights of another harbor and seaside town. Return from either Shannon or Dublin.
